I guess I couldn’t have asked for a better example to use as a follow-up for my last post. Read this and then revisit the argument about gun ownership. I’m willing to bet that this homeowner is among a tiny minority of handgun owners in San Francisco.

That took place in Healdsburg which is in Sonoma county (a "red" county) 60 miles north of San Fran. If it had taken place in SF the guy would be charged for having a gun illegally AND been indicted for murder.
I truly believe that too. Somehow those sick, demented SOB's in San Fran would find a way to spin the fact that the man's wife was in mortal danger and charge him for protecting her. Glad I'm about as far away from SF (geographically) as you can get and still be in the US. Somehow I don't think we'd mix too well...
